OUTLINE
An outline is used to take clear and organized notes. In this type of note-
taking you should write key ideas and use abbreviations and symbols when
possible. To indicate main ideas, you can use Roman numerals (I, II, III) and
capital letters (A, D, C). Details are indicated with numbers. As information
becomes more specific, move it to the right.
Brainstorm:
What circuit elements do you know?
Match components to the component function
1.
limits the flow of current.
2.
provides illumination.
3.
is two or more cells joined together
4.
converts electrical energy to light.
5.
creates a magnetic field when current passes through it.
6.
is used to step up (increase) and step down (decrease) ac voltages.
7.
current flows only when the switch is closed (on).
8.
directs the flow of current to one of two routes according to its
position.
9.
supplies electrical energy (alternating current).
10.
an electrically operated switch.
11.
no = normally open/ com = common/ nc = normally closed
12.
supplies electrical energy
13.
electrical energy (direct current).
14.
allows current to flow in one direction only.
